Below are words from members of the Pagosa Mountain Morning Rotary Club

rotary international logoI joined Rotary to be surrounded by other like-minded people with integrity, honor, and the idea of service above self.

Rotary is fellowship with others and service to others.

I’m in Rotary for the good feeling of giving back to people who are in need.
Service Above Self is more than just words.

I joined Rotary to give back to the community, and Rotary does that, locally and internationally.

Rotary is Service Above Self, and our club has so much FUN! I joined to spend volunteer time with a purpose, part of a larger purpose and with other like-minded people embracing Service Above Self.

I’m a Rotarian and I enjoy and appreciate the idea of community service – REAL community service on a local level.

I joined Rotary to give back to the community in which I started a business that is a success because of community support.

Why join Rotary? To provide needed support to our community. Having two clubs in Pagosa provides flexibility to attract more potential Rotarians.

I’m a Rotarian because I have the desire to be involved in something that does good for our community and for the world.

Rotary allows me to: meet like-minded people; work in the community; and help those that need it.

Rotary has been a family tradition – my grandfather was president of San Francisco Rotary. His service to children set the mental stage for me. When women could join, I DID!

I was invited to join from a Rotarian who was vital to our successful relocation. I wanted to meet other service-minded people in my new community and be a part of an organization with which I could become involved and give back to my new home.

I was part of a group that founded a Rotary club as a way to get several local projects completed. Starting an annual golf tournament was a win-win for everyone!
